Old world, queens, prices, castles, and old world, meet modern time, cell phones, sports cars, airplanes, and....Magic! This book has it all. It was quite entertaining if one doesn't mind the mish-mash. Most of the characters are quite likeable but one does need to read the first book to be able to enjoy this one to the fullest.

Nicky and Noah, once again, solve the mystery using a variety of puns, quips, tongue twisters and mixed metaphors along the way. Lots of fun for everyone - except the dead ones of course.

Witch Under Wraps (Mythmatched) by E.J. Russell

I liked how the characters and plot wove together, and the clever way in which the plot twist is resolved. The world building is very detailed, and well thought out. I liked how their world is changing, and how allegiances have shifted even within the past year, which gave it the feel of a rich history, and tapestry of different races working together. Although this is part of a series, so I had the sense that other characters had their own stories, it didn’t detract from my enjoyment of this one, or leave me feeling as though I was on the back foot, having come in late. It stands on its own, yet left me wanting to explore the other stories in this world.
