The Experiment by Rebecca Raine

Patrick is a straight psychologist, and web designer Logan is his gay friend. Patrick loses a bet over a game of pool and has to kiss the opposite sex. The person ends up being Logan. Patrick doesn't expect the kiss to rev his engine, but it does. So in proper scientific method style, Patrick decides further practical experimentation about his bi-curiosity with Logan is warranted. This is a friends-to-lovers story with a titillating premise and some super-hawt sex scenes. I mean, wowza! Overall, this was above average.

The Eighth Key by Laura Weyr

I loved the world building and plot development, but thought the developing relationship between the two main characters was outstanding.

The Anti-Quest (The Pudding Protocol Universe) by Angel Martinez

The perfect mix of imagination, subversiveness, and humour. A delight from the first word to the last.

Franklin in Paradise by John Patrick

Very well written all around. His handling of autism was truly outstanding and a subject that I believe is extremely important for more people to see the reality. I only deducted one point from writing style because I felt there were a couple of loose ends in plot finalization.

A swashbuckling adventure filled with brave, beautiful women, inventive worldbuilding, and plenty of wit. Really, really enjoyable.

Counter Culture by J.L. Merrow

My only complaint about Counter Culture is that it seemed to be missing part of it--I wanted more! I loved the premise of a steampunk gentleman falling for a retail professional, and the very realistic challenges of a new father trying to welcome romance back into his life. The style was exceptional, the setting perfectly believable, and the characters were real and interesting. A compelling package, though I hope there will be a sequel.

The Experiment by Rebecca Raine

The Experiment was just so fun to read. The premise was lighthearted and the execution was flawless, but I also found that it asked interesting questions about personality, growth, and fear of change. So I would say this was an exceptional mix of humor, romance, spice, and a bit of psychological introspection. Kudos!

You Had One Job by L.A. Witt & Cari Z.

Ordinarily, I'm not a fan of mob-related stories--that is, I don't seek them out. However, this one was so well written, fast-paced, and engaging that I was able to fall into the story anyway.
