Papa & Daddy (2021)

 The theme of Papa & Daddy was interesting, especially since LGBT rights in Taiwan are the more progressive in Asia, and same-sex couples can marry. Therefore I was eager to see something different, the day to day life of a same-sex married couple, moreover someone told me this was quite a sexy couple... But in the end, the story seemed sort of flat, and sincerely, the stunt Damian put on Jie Li at the end of season 1... not sure I would be willing to forgive my partner. There is also another point I didn't understand, and like, Jie Li and Damian are talking at the supermarket and Jie Li clearly says he is not ready to have a kid; then fast forward some years, and they are raising a kid of about 5 years old, that means they didn't wait long to have him... talking about respecting your partner's desire. The Promise (2023)

 I think that, for once, I would have preferred more The Promise, without seeing the prequel, Phupha | Nanfah. Let me explain, I liked to see the prequel, because, without question, Phupha and Nanfah are cute in their school years, and you can better understand how deep is their bond, but there are some inconsistences generated by the prequel, the main one being Nanfah searching for Phupha in Sydney, with photo and name, meeting Phupha's mother and brother, and no one of them recognizes Phupha? How many thai boys named Phupha, with a deceased father and a mother who went to Sydney for work, are there, that a mother does not recognize her own son? Said that, if I reset this information, and just watch The Promise, it's cute and sweet, with some drama on it, and even the dreadful separation before the good time. There is also an unexpected drama at the end, soon solved, and therefore not necessary, but we are gifted with a very sexy scene in compensation, so I can forgive them. HEA. You can see it on WeTV. Plus & Minus (2022)

 Plus & Minus was quite nice, I enjoyed both couples, the main one Zheng Ze Shou and Fu Li Gong, and the side one, Kato Yuki and Jian Ying Ze. I actually like also the soon-to-be divorced Xiao Dong and A Han, I would not mind a series about the two of them. Anyway, going back to Zheng Ze Shou and Fu Li Gong, it's pretty much classic thrope, fellow high schoolers, one of them develops feelings for the other but has no courage to confess, they share an apartment as adults, and the one having the secret crush behaves like a mother hen to the unresponsible and womanizer friend, up until the time they realize that all the time spent together made them the perfect couple. Of course there will be confrontation with the parents, wanting for their sons a different path, support from friends, a little bit of denyal, and some hot sex to solve everything. So yes, if you want to spend some hours with a pleasant "visual" distraction (meaning Zheng Ze Shou and Fu Li Gong), give it a try, you will not be disappointed. HEA.
