Can I Buy Your Love from a Vendine Machine? is yet another Japanese movie adapted from a manga. Having read the manga, in this case, my expectation was a little bit higher than the final product. It's nice, but sort of gloomy, like, for example, is mostly filmed by night or inside a closed environment. The two actors are sort of good, but the one playind Yamashita Ryoma cannot really be credible with that blond hair, it's clear it's not his real style. Said that, the movie was cute, almost sweet, totally unexpected if you have read the manga. I don't mind, but as I said, I felt it was a little too moody in comparison to the sweetness of the story. HEA. Heat Level: 2/6.

I have to admit that I didn't like the first 5 movies in the Takumi-kun Series, aside from being "old" feeling, I really didn't understand, and therefore was not involved, in the character of Gii, that should be this hunk of a boy/man for whom everyone fall in love. The original movies, as I said, are 5, so you have enough time to try to understand these characters. Takumi-kun Series 6: The Morning of the Beginning of a Long, Long Story start again the series, but being just one movie, a lot is missing, therefore really, Gii comes out even more like a moron, and Takumi like a cry-baby without reason. Sincerely I read the manga, didn't like it much, I saw the first 5 movies, didn't like them much, and now I saw this movie, and my idea didn't change. I really, really wanted to like them, the actors are not bad, the cinematography is not bad, but in the end not bad is not enough for me to like it. Moreover it's a cliffhanger, so not really a HEA either. Heat Level: 2/6.

In a series of tales that dance between warring clans and clandestine meetings, take a step back hundreds of years to the Jishou Era. These are the days where a beloved musical instrument can bring the emotion out of an ascetic monk for his young ward; a tasked assassin will fall in love with his target and lay his life down on the line for his prey, while devouring him in more intimate ways; where the pages of history are too scandalous that one must be careful not to be taught with in class, after all. When the war rages in the background, men will find comfort with those that they have sworn to protect; they will find appreciation in the simple niceties that have been offered to them, as well as the camaraderie and companionship with those they trust their lives. The Jishou era has never come alive quite like this!

The moment we realized that we both like men, a special
"Rule" was born between us:

First, we should keep a secret about us being gay.
Second, we should not fall in love with each other.

Rio has been secretly watching this attractive classmate, Etsu, for quite a long time. Etsu has a complicated character, but his face is just Rio's type. Regardless, It has been decided by the destiny that they could not be together no matter how attracted they are to each other. After all, they are both "bottom"! Still, aren't "rules" made to be broken?

Enjoy the complete volume of "Rule No. 1" series, a masterpiece by the reversible couple enthusiast, Sachi Murakami!
