This manga is a sweet and silly romantic comedy. The main couple, Rui and Oda, are endearingly naive and innocent, which explains why they step around their true feelings for so long without making a move. However, Rui proves to be the slightly bolder one. When a drunk Oda ends up in his bed, Rui takes a massive step forward, which eventually leads to them confessing their mutual feelings. The manga's charm lies in its focus on the leads' cuteness rather than their sex appeal, setting it apart from typical romantic fare.

This omegaverse series stood out because it treated the concepts of Alpha, Beta, and Omega not as a dramatic plot point, but as an ordinary physical trait—much like having a certain hair or eye color. While the story acknowledges a degree of social stratification—for instance, Alphas might enjoy a certain elite status—this is framed more like a class distinction, such as the difference between the wealthy Megumi and the middle-class Tsugumi. The heart of the story focuses on the universal struggles of ordinary teenagers. Megumi is dealing with his parents' divorce, and Tsugumi is going through a rebellious phase, resisting his fathers' expectations. Despite these typical adolescent troubles, the two boys share a deep love. Their youthful optimism convinces them that love will conquer everything, leading them to confidently discuss marriage while still in high school. Ultimately, this is a very sweet series where the omegaverse element simply provides a unique and lightly spicy backdrop to a familiar love story.

The Dangerous Convenience Store stands out as one of the first, if not the very first, manhwa I ever read. What hooked me immediately was its simple yet engaging story featuring one of my favorite tropes: an older man and a younger one. The dynamic centers on Gunwoo Beom, a quintessential gangster with a heart of gold, and Eui-joon Yeo, the young clerk at the convenience store near Gunwoo's home. I especially loved that Gunwoo, despite his intimidating demeanor, is the one to first express his feelings. He's consistently kind and gentle with Eui-joon... at least outside of the bedroom. And what happens inside the bedroom is likely the second major reason I enjoyed this series so much. The sex scenes are described as good, unrestrained, and simply hot. Ultimately, there's nothing revolutionary about the plot of The Dangerous Convenience Store, but that's what made it so good. It was a perfectly comforting and romantic read.
