it's a shop in the French Market. It's Merry Christmas and All That Jazz. Don't know if they have a website this is the one of the mall: http://www.frenchmarket.org/

New Orleans

At the time I lived in New Orleans 1972 on Dumain Street in the French Quarter my next door neighbor was Tennessee Williams. But I never met him, he was always off in Florida or NYC, who knows where? But every time I closed or opened my front door always imagined I'd see him. No such luck.

I think they wanted to do a "gay" Christmas tree, or at least a Mardi Gras themed. Don't know if there is a special meaning to the merfolks
