For thirteen years, Andrew Newman Design was based in Manhattan, and from 1993 to present, the studio has made Cape Cod its home. Before opening his own firm, Mr. Newman was an art director at Dell Publishing. His work experience prior to that was in advertising and editorial design for an advertising agency, newspaper, and magazine company.

Over the years, Andrew Newman Design has won numerous awards in the field of design, including Creativity Awards sponsored by Art Direction Magazine, Desi Awards, American Corporate Identity, Funny Bone Certificate of Merit, and a Master Eagle Company award. Andrew Newman's work has been published in Humor '87 and The Great American Book of Humor.

Mr. Newman earned his bachelor's degree at Indiana University, as well as an associate's degree from the School of Visual Arts in New York. For three years, before moving to Cape Cod, he taught graphic design for exhibit and display majors at the Fashion Institute of Technology. He has been a long-standing member of the AIGA and the Boston Musicians' Association. As a member of the Cape Cod Technology Council, Mr. Newman has been teaching Photoshop Skillz, a course he designed, through the Jr. Tech program. He is also a member of NAPP, the National Association of Photoshop Professionals.

His firm offers a wide range of design services including: web site, branding, logotype and corporate identity, exhibit and display, book jackets, advertising and promotion, posters, brochures, newsletters, magazines, and typeface design.

To Romance lovers, Andrew Newman's work is pretty familiar since he was the cover artist for almost all Danielle Steel's books.

Lovely work, especially that last one. I read the post through about Mr. Newman, which was interesting, but all I really want to know, if you don't mind my asking, is where did you get your icon? The artwork looks familiar, but I don't know where I might have seen it before. I'm just curious.
