A new indie feature film about love, family and a green card marriage starring Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Alicia Witt, Maurice Compte and David W. Ross

About The Film: I DO is a passion project for me. I photographed some Prop 8 rallies here in California a few years ago and began to meet more and more couples faced by horrendous challenges because of marriage inequality. I knew I had to get this film out as soon as possible. My aim was for 2012. And with your help we can do that!

I DO is not your a-tyical a-guy-gets-married-for-his-green-card movie. It's got some serious twists and turns and I wanted to show how, not only the couple, but everyone around them is affected. I wanted to tell a devastating human story about a very real law.

We shot the film last October/November with an AMAZING and passionate cast and crew who came together to make the best film possible about this issue. We're in post-production and are planning to premier at national and international film festivals this summer and we need your help. --David W. Rosse

The Story: Jack Edwards is a British gay man living in New York. After his brother gets killed in a brutal car crash Jack is left to raise his niece with his sister-in-law Mya. When Jack's work visa gets denied he marries his best friend Ali for a green card in a desperate attempt to keep his family together. After he meets Spanish American Mano Alfaro and his marriage of convenience starts to crumble, Jack is faced with impossible decisions for his family, friends and the man he loves.

What We Need & What You Get: The money we raise will go towards the film's finishing funds. We actually need $50,000 and hope that with your help we will not only hit our goal but surpass it! The more money we raise the better the film and outreach we'll have.
