Three days in London: a lot of rain but also a whole sunny day... maybe not so bad after all! Two for one! A good bargain.

Lovely pictures! Thanks for sharing!

I love London. Miss it so much. Haven't been since 2001, when we actually had 80F temperatures the day we went to the Tower.

My fave part of the Tower was taking the close up picture of Lady Jane Grey's "signature" that she carved into the wall of her cell. I admire that woman a great deal. She had guts.

Lordy, I do envy your being able to travel all over Europe so cheaply. Want to adopt me so I can have citizenship in the EU? *winks*

Yes. The Green Mountains are on the border between Vermont and the state of New York. If you are in northern Vermont, you can look across the beautiful waters of Lake Champlain (the biggest US lake other than the five Great Lakes) to see the Adirondak Mountains.

It's a lovely state. Sometimes too quiet and isolated, but definitely one of my favorite places.

What is it like where you live?

I live in Padua, near Venice. But Padua is the second oldest city in Italy, after Rome. The legend says that a fellow of Enea, who founded Rome, was Antenore, and he is the founder of Padua. Also we have the second oldest University in the world, founded in the 1221. And we are also a pilgrim point, because we host the corpse of San Anthony of Loyola. I live in the historic centre, and my Cafe au Livre is setting in the Medieval Quarter. ciao, elisa
