The latest novel by Willa Okati is a fantastic escapade in the myth of Hell and its Fallen Angels.

Guy is an ex marine with a blood desease who seeks aid from Rasputin, a man who claims himself to be the same Rasputin who was conselour of Catherine of Russia. Asmael is the enforcer of Rasputin, an impassible man with unknown powers.

But Guy is son of a very rich woman who doesn't accept well to have her son removes from her side and charges Rasputin of kidnapping. But if Guy wants, better needs to be with Rasputin, could it be a kidnapping? So we read of the trial against Asmael (like a file record), of the investigation of Rasputin in a mental institution and of the psichiatric session of Guy... all the three men tell their story and their version in the waiting to be again together.

It's a really strange but compelling novel, till the end you don't know if Guy is mad, if Rasputin is a criminal and if Asmael is a master of illusion... all you know is that you have to reach the end to know and understand everything, but if don't have an open and imaginative mind you hardly will accept the truth.

This novel reminds me another one by Willa Okati, Too Close to the Sun, another one I have loved very much.
