The last book by Barbara Sheridan and Anne Cain, fourth in te ChildsPrey series on the Japanese rock world is... HOT. Take the fan near you cause this one has a lot of sex and very arousing. The devirgination of Yuta is an hell of a scene, I read it in train forgetting all the people around me... (I can't image my face... what the other have thought I was reading?).

Yuta is the stepbrother of Toru, one of the members of ChildsPrey (his story was told in Orange Moon). He has lived in New York for most of his life and is not in very kind relationship with Toru, but when his publisher asks him to write a backstage story on ChildsPrey band members, he thins to use it as a way to gain success. But more than this story he is fascinated by Miji Makana, the musician who is disappeared three year before. In Japan Yuta sets himself to find Miji, and in the end he discovers him under the guise of Taro, the real name of Miji, and living in the old hometown.

Yuta is not really a fan of japanese rock or rock star and he is not even gay, but his attraction for Taro is not only a way to gain a story. But Yuta has no problem to live this new experience: his real life is not an exiciting one, but he doesn't search the glamour of the rock star life, I see him like a lone guy who finally has found someone to share his life. And his readiness to share this feeling is pretty naive. Taro instead is experienced and burnt by life. He has estranged himself from his previous life for the same reason Yuta cares for him: he was alone. But he loves his music and after three year far from his world he is ready to return. And maybe Yuta, with his naivite and eagerness for love, is the answer to his problem.

The story is pretty simple and with no much drama, but what I have found really enthralling and well written are the sex scenes. Reading the previous enstalments of the series, I have the feeling to read a young adult magazine, glossy, glamour and gossip, but somewhat "innocent" (don't take me wrong, I like them). Instead Secret Moon is sexier and adult.
