I just added a new post to the "Chatting with" series on "Rosa is for Romance".

Elizabeth Boyle: If What You Wish Comes True...

"Thank you, Elisa, for inviting me to be part of your site, as well as for the chance to say hello and thank you to my readers in Italy. I have to confess that I am very partial to the Italian versions of my books—especially the covers. I was so enchanted by the Italian cover of Brazen Heiress that I bought the artwork and it hangs in my office where I can see it every day. I thought this cover truly captured the spirit of the book—so much better than the US version did.

I recently started a new series about a magic ring that grants the unwitting person who puts it on one wish—and since most people don’t know they are about to gain their wish, it can have some unusual consequences—in the first book, His Mistress by Morning, my shy, spinster of a heroine awakens to find herself the most sought after courtesan in London. And in the second book, which will be released in August, Tempted by the Night, the heroine ends up invisible at night so she can follow the hero into the dangerous world of London at night."

I like very much P.L. Nunn's works. They are addictive, first time you try it you could likely don't like them, but more you "try" and more you "like".

I bought all the 3 Erotic Yaoi Art Collection and I'm always tempted to buy also the calendar... but well, I'm not so daring to hang it.

J.J. Massa loves to write story of men who awaken to their hidden desires, desires that they didn't even know to have before meeting the very man that stirs something inside them, a need to be loved, cared of and mastered.

Kean is not a young student, he is 37 years old and wants to finally take his degree. So he enrolls in an adult learning program and finds himself in the class of Richard, an handsome professor. But Richard is not handsome because he is physical beautiful, his strenght lies in his aurea. Kean is a big boy, even a bit of womanizer, but when he is in front of Richard, small and lean in body, but a giant in behavior, he is like a boy in need of a strong hand.

The story is very short, only 20 pages and all its strenght is to have put together a "different" from usual Master / Pet pair: in body Kean represents the stronger man in the relationship, but when they are together, Richard takes the upper hand in the relationship. It's not a question of body strenght, but of self-consciousness and maturity. And it's not an "age" maturity, but a "sexual" ones.

This is a very sweet but very sad story.

David and Robin are long time lovers and they are pretty good together. Recently Robin had an heart attack and a subsequent heart surgery and he is no more the same. He is limited in his actions and in his day-to-day life, but David loves him so much, he is doing all the possible to keep him health and good. He looks after him, on what he eats and does.

They are spending a weekend in their lake cottage, and decide to play the role of pirate Captain and his cabin boy. Even if Robin is the elder and healthier, he is the one who plays the role of the cabin boy: always ready to "serve" his captain, always happy to bring him joy.

David knows that every day he snatches to the fate is a day more he is lucky to have. Every morning he wakes up, he thanks to have another day, and every night he sleeps off, he prays for a day more.

You could really feel the love between these two men, and you really feel David's pain and joy, and in the end you know you have to be happy for the day like David, since this is probably a couple that will not have the chance to age together.

Will is an Afro American cop just out of a month of leave of absence: his last case ended pretty bad, with his informer (and lover) dead. A drugs addicted with some friend in the wrong circle, Teabag was a guy in search of trouble, but it was Will who asked him to pass over information on his friends, and so Will blames himself for his death.

But Will seems to not be able to learn from his mistakes, and the first day he is again on duty, he drags the street to hook up with an hustler, Corey. Corey is a 23 years old college student who dumped university for an easier profession, and he is quite happy with his new work. He also looks upon six other guys, he is not a pimp, but he makes sure that all of them pays for rent and bills, and some of them are even still at university. But when a man begins to prey on "his" boys, beating them pretty bad, he asks Will for help. And Will has to be sure to not doing the wrong thing a second time.

Mmm, first of all, let me say that I like the book, but I'm beginning to wonder if what I always believe is true. Means that I always believe that whoring (or hustling) should not be a "nice" thing, that who does it, always has to be a "tortured" soul, someone in need of help. And instead this is not the first book where I read of hustlers who are quite happy of their life and that are planning to do that for a bit, till they obviously will find a nice man to set up. In this book this situation is driven to the extreme point: not only Corey is happy with his life, he is also quite a "normal" guy in his everyday life, a nice home, a bunch of friends... he also says that since he likes sex, he doesn't see any wrong reason in gaining some money doing it.

Yes in the end the story is a bit of Pretty Woman turning Pretty Man; we all know that in the end Will will do the "right" thing and will make Corey an "honest" man; actually, Corey has a more ordinary life than Will, and probably it will be Corey that will take a bit of normality in Will's life. The suspence subplot is easy and not too complex to unveil, but actually it's not the important thing of the story. And also it's strange but, the story ends very quickly, and yes, it's not very long, 80 pages, but I read it really in a blur... for me this is a good thing, since it means that I like it and I want to know what happens next as soon as possible, but, well, I'd like to have a bit more to read.
