Well my dear friends, all you know (I believe since I always say that) that I'm a Leo and that I have a big EGO (yes, with capital letters since it's very big!).

And I'm not ashamed to admit that I make Ego Surfing... yes, that total useless activity consisting in browsing your name on Google, also know as "Google yourself".

And since I'm a Leo and I have a big EGO, I also collect all the links I find where there is my name or my blog or my LJ, or something else about ME. And today I collect the 100 link: I soooo love when I see my name around the web, and lucky me, my full name is not so common and so it's easier for me recognize it on the net...

Actually maybe in the future I will regret to be so overexposed with my real name, but for now I'm still in the excited phase.

Ranmaru is the son of a yakuza boss; he married an older woman (5 years older) to please his father and the family, but he is not attracted by her and the thing is mutual. During their honeymoon, with all the family around, Ranmaru avoids to be near the woman, and he persists on wearing the traditional Japanese kimono even if his wife despised it. On the Italian cruise ship where they are, Ranmaru gets noticed by an handsome Italian man, Al, who has a deeply interested for all Japanese things, included Japanese men! The first night they meet, Al seduces Ranmaru, and the Japanese guy discovers only the morning after that Al is the captain. On the course of his honeymoon in Italy, Ranmaru ends in even deeply trouble and Al is always there to help him, only "pretending" as reward to ravish Ranmaru, a thing that the Japanese guy is beginning to appreciate...

As always the graphic is gorgeous and very sexy. Poor Ranmaru finds himself in very badly situation, and everyone around him seem to want to ravish him. But all in all this manga has a funny side and in the end Ranmaru always escapes from bad trouble almost unarmed, if not for what does to him the handsome Al.

At first Ranmaru's character is not very "feminine", and in fact it's strange that a very handsome man like Al finds him interesting. But after their first night together, Ranmaru changes, and he becomes more and more cute and pretty, both in behavior than in look.

The manga ends at the second volume, and the English version doesn't give an hint if there is a continue. I hope so, since there is still a lot more that can be said on these two characters.

In a futuristic world, Haven is a negotiator, a man with healing powers and diplomat ability who is sending on troubled foreign planets to facilitate alliance pacts. During one of these travels he finds a young boy, barely 12 years old, who is taken as a sex slave by a slave trader and who will be soon sold to a customer. Seeing in the boy the same healing powers he has, Haven buys the boy and brings him back to his home planet. The boy, named Wren, is raised to be a diplomat himself, and when he is 18 years old he is given as novice to Master Haven. Four years later, Haven is in a diplomatic mission in a foreign planet who requires that every adult man is accompanying by a sex slave. Obviously Wren offers himself to play the role, but nor him or Haven could image what they will have to do: public sex is saw as a tribute and Haven finds himself in front of an hard decision: fully take his novice or let someone else doing the job...

Almost all the book is spent waiting for the defloration of Wren and actually sometime I feel sorry for poor Haven who is always under temptation. Also before their compelled intimacy in a foreign country, Haven was starting to feel something more for Wren than the natural affection of a Master for his novice, and Wren was not helping on it, since he is in love with Haven since the man saved him ten years before. In Haven's planet, sexual release is not allowed and above all not with a novice, so Haven knows that, if he gives up to temptation, he will lose Wren forever.

Haven is a stoic character, actually he has not a dominant nature: he has a good heart, but all in all he is taken around by Wren almost like he has a leash around the neck and not Wren. Wren is a smart guy: in a way or another he manages to obtain what he wants, and after all I don't think he would be a good diplomat like Haven: I can't imagine him living a total chaste life!

A good sci-fiction romance, with a good weight on the romance side and a little less on the sci-fic one: also the adventurous sub plot and the villain are not so scary after all, and their elimination is quite immediate. All the book is centered on Haven and Wren, and on their budding relationship, better on their "evolving" relationship, from Master and novice, to lovers.
