The 8.2 Second Rule is not really a series, just 50 minutes in total, but it's sweet and I think the food + BL lovers will definitely like it. It follows the adventures of Amai Koichi, who fell in love in 8.2 seconds of various classmates, but he is always rejected (actually rejection is a strong word, cause no one of the potential love interests is aware of Amai). Just 5 episodes, each of them explaining the recipe Amai is using to conquer his love interest. It's cute and pure fluff, nothing deep and there is absolutely no drama. HEA. You can see it on Youtube. Heat Level: 1/6.

21 Days Theory is a sweet, cute and pure fluffy series. The enemies to lovers thrope is played without tension or drama, even the final separation is just temporary and soon resolved. The supporting characters are great, I especially liked Q's family, a supporting mother and the gay uncle that are able to provide love and a positive example. Maybe the thrope of Q being jealous of X because he thought X had an interest on his uncle is not the best, but even in this case, there was nothing creepy, and of course it was all in Q's mind. Despite the fact Q and X are competing for being actors, the setting was not too far from an ordinary high school romance, with cute, but overall ordinary, teenagers falling in love. HEA.  If you search for Gay Romance in BL series, 2gether and Still 2gether are often atop the favorite lists. I can see why, considering the other series of the same period, this series was more sweet, less clichè, and the fact that the pursued lead came out as being the pursuerer from the beginning was a nice switch. If I have to be true, considering these are two college students, Tine and Sarawat, who decides to live together, their personal relationship, and their intimate moment together, are not well, or enough, developed. Even after they are living in the same apartment, they still behave like there is a challenge between them, like the relationship has not yet started. But overall I liked it, and I liked also the supporting characters, their friends, from both side of the couple, are a riot; don't really like the side story between Sarawat's brother and Tine's former suitor, but that is just my personal feeling, even in that case, both actors were nice in their role. HEA. You can see it on Viki. Heat Level: 2/6.

A Boss and a Babe was the first BL series I have ever saw. I was in a mood, sort of uninterested in everything, and I don't even remember how, I stumbled upon the series, and binge watched it in one day. It opened a world! Sure, after seeing hundreds of them, I can say this one is not the best one, but, to my opinion, it has still some of my favorite thropes. First of all, it's not entirely set in school/college. Sure Cher is a college student, but his student's life is just peripherical to the story. Both Cher and Gun are adult characters, and so are mostly of their interactions. The series is overall sexy without being too much in your face, Gun is playing the aloof and intensive male lead I prefer, but in the end, he is not imposing anything to Cher, mostly limiting his requests to very chaste video chat. Actually, most of the time, even when it's Gun starting the intimate moments, it's Cher who then pushes it on. HEA. You can see it on Youtube. Heat Level: 4.5/6.

Our Days was very nice, a college/sport themed romance, and considering college AND sport are usually not my cup of tea, the fact that I have found this series so interesting it is saying a lot on its quality. Mon and So are so good in their role, and for once, even the third wheel, Saint, was so good that I actually wanted for Mon to not choose... I'm jocking, a trouple would not be right for these characters, but still, it was hard to decide. Anyway there are some holes in the script, like, do you really want me to believe Mon was able to enter a stranger apartment without any issue and spend an entire night there before So finds him? and instead of calling the police, So offers him breakfast? and then So, who is living in a penthouse with a hot tube in the private terrace, decides to go living in, basically, a frat house, where he has to share his room with two other students, just because the house is nearer university? But OK, these are details distracting me, but not really important to the fact that Our Days was a very good romance, with likeable characters and a comedic/comic streak sometime unexpected, but never crass: the declaration of So to Mon, ending with him doing it to the wrong person was so hilarious! I really laughed out aloud when I realized it. Oh, BTW, look really until the very last second, after the end titles, otherwise you will not understand this is actually an HEA. You can see it on GagaOOLala. Heat Level: 3.5/6.
