Omega Shen Tingwei wakes up after a traffic accident and soon realizes something is very wrong. The people around him have no idea what an omega is, the local pharmacy doesn't carry his heat suppressants, and no one - including the doctor at the nearest hospital - seems to understand the reason he is feverish and giving off the scent of wine is that he's going into heat. Enter Lian Jue, a wealthy man with Emotional Deprivation Disorder who is struggling to balance running his company, appeasing his difficult family, and caring for his adopted son, Kangtong. When he encounters the heat-drunk Shen Tingwei staggering around the city and saves him from getting hit by yet another vehicle, the two men soon become entangled in each other's lives. Shen Tingwei is lost and helpless in a world not his own, and Lian Jue can't help but be drawn to the intoxicating stranger...

My Rate: 8

For being a Chinese manhua, Intoxicated is pretty sexy; of course the sex is not explicit, but at least it was not totally erased. Said that the story is a mix of comedy and emotional romance, meaning that the romance is not all easy and peachy, but at least it's always clear from the first episodes that these two are a couple and are trying to reach a level where their love can develop peacefully. Really nice graphic (Chinese are top on this) and the mix between chibi and ordinary characters are good and not disappointing. Sometime I found the introduction of Chibi like an intrusion, but not in this case.

A BUG IN THE SYSTEM

Reason, routine, and rules. These are the tenets that computer science major Sangwoo Choo lives by, so when the rest of his teammates fail to contribute to their group’s presentation, he cuts their names from the project—including that of a complete no-show, whose plans to graduate and study abroad have gone down the drain as a result. Not that that’s any of Sangwoo’s business…until he realizes that Jaeyoung Jang, the talented design major he was hoping to hire for his video game, is: one, that very same classmate, and two, hell-bent on returning the favor and being the biggest thorn in his side! Will Sangwoo be able to debug this semantic error before it upends his entire life?

My Rate: 9 (amzn.to/45PAIwC)

While reading Semantic Error you cannot avoid to compare it with the drama, since, for once, the drama is quite respecting the storyline. One thing that was completely different are the features of Jaeyoung Jang, he actually looks like a western man in the manhwa, while instead it's a classical korean beauty in the drama. In a way, the drama is more realistic than the manhwa. Said that, the graphic of the manhwa is very good and the love story, although innocent, is very nice. I would say that, if you liked the drama, you will not be disappointed by the manhwa.

Myongi and Sunho haven't seen each other since they were 18 years old. Now 27, they run into one another at a high school reunion, and the romantic feelings they had for one another come rushing to the surface. But are they the same people now that they were back then?

My Rate: 7 (amzn.to/41EgNhB)

Hyperventilation is a short manhwa, but in only 6 episodes it packs material worthy for 10 times more. The story is simple, but somewhat idylliac: Myongi and Sunho were high school mates and they really didn't have much of relationship, but it's clear that they both had unrequited feelings for each others, only that it was too much of a big thing for 18 years olf. 10 years later, the things have changed, and they are ready to grasp their chance. It's really a one night span story, but as I said, it's enought to make you fall in love for these characters. Very nice graphic as well. Anite adaption is one of my favorite too.

On the first day of his new job, the shy and introverted Shima suddenly finds himself trapped in an elevator with an extremely hungover man, who turns out to be none other than his new boss, Togawa. Though Shima is initially put-off by Togawa’s rude and shameless behavior, he can’t help but be drawn in by the man’s compassionate side, and he soon finds his thoughts are completely consumed by the charismatic man.

Unfortunately, painful experiences from his past continue to haunt Shima, and ultimately prevent him from taking the first step. Even when Togawa makes his feelings for the young man blatantly clear, despite also having agonizing memories and an unpleasant past of his own, Shima still hesitates to open himself up to the man.
How will things turn out when a love is so obvious that it can felt, but the individuals in question can’t express it directly?

My Rate: 8 (amzn.to/4mHTaga)

Kou Yoneda is one of my favorite mangaka. And No Touching at All is one of my favorite BL Japanese movie. So it's a given that the manga is one of my favorite too. It's basically a perfect story about two ordinary characters, but so good together that it makes it a wonderful romance. Togawa is so sexy, with his gruffiness, but at the same time with his gentle touch, he is the perfect healing method for Shima's skittyness. The plot has nothing extraordinary, but it's in someway refined, dosing every aspect in the right way. Nice graphic too, but that is a given with Kou Yoneda.
