Recent Spam Issue on LiveJournal

I'm sure that all of you, or probably the most, is having the same issue with porn spam on older entries since yesterday night (more or less). I sent a support request, they told me to limit the comments to friends only, that I don't want to do. So I analyzed the last 10 SPAM comments I received on my Journal, all with the same message, the account were:

They are all Account Plus (Gift). If they are never updated (mai aggiornato) they were created between 2012-10-27 and 2012-10-29, if instead they were updated (ultimo aggiornamento) the last update was between 2012-10-21 and 2012-10-22.

I suggested to LJ to take a mass action to all accounts corresponding to these facts, if they do a mistake, they can always revert case per case, but at least they will solve the huge mess that is affecting all of us.

If you have the same problem, please do the same check, and if you have the same fact, please report them. And please share, I really don't want to leave LJ, but I was already forced to forbid anonymous comments on this journal due to the spam, and now I'm receiving spam from regular accounts. I don't want to limit commenting to friends only, if I have to, I will leave.

I've gotten two - with the same message - over the past week. Marked both as spam. I hope LJ will do something about them. Why make us pay by locking comments to friends only when we aren't the ones being the nuisance? :(

did you checked when the accounts were created of if they were last updated on those time frames? if so you can open a support request, I think the only way to stop is to deactivate all accounts that have those characteristics.

I've been considering leaving LJ since they fired all their US employees. Sometime in the next few weeks, I'm shifting to Dreamwith. Have already joined your journal over there.

this last spamming was very bad, I received more than 150 spam comments in less than 1 night. No way i could manage all that.

It's hell to be popular. I received one of those "sekrit crush" things and said, "Sorry, I love my wife and I don't click on anonymous links." Then deleted. Didn't get any more.

fortunatamente il mio lj è 'piccolo' quindi meno 'spammato' ma ciò non toglie il fatto che negli ultimi mesi il lj non è più lo stesso di prima.
