Marc Allégret (22 December 1900 – 3 November 1973) was a French screenwriter and film director. Allégret became André Gide's lover when he was fifteen and Gide was forty-seven. Later, Marc was to fall briefly under the spell of Cocteau, who Gide feared would "corrupt" him. His relationship with Gide ended in 1927, as Allégret found out that he preferred women after having experiences with women. They nevertheless remained close friends until Gide's death in 1951.

Mary Beth Patterson, known by her stage name Beth Ditto is an American singer-songwriter, most famous for her work with the indie rock band Gossip. Ditto, who is a lesbian, is well known for her outspoken support of both LGBT and feminist causes. In July 2013, Ditto married girlfriend Kristin Ogata in Maui, Hawaii. Ditto wore a gown by Jean Paul Gaultier; Ogata wore a jacket, shirt and shorts. Ditto released a memoir called Coal to Diamonds, which she co-wrote with Michelle Tea, in 2012.

David Watkin was a British cinematographer, an innovator who was among the first directors of photography to experiment with the usage of bounce light as a soft light source. In Chariots of Fire, he "helped create one of the most memorable images of 1980s cinema: the opening sequence in which a huddle of young male athletes pounds along the water's edge on a beach" to the film's theme music by Vangelis. His partner for many years was Nick Hand, with whom he registered a civil partnership in 2006.

In both his films and his writings, Derek Jarman's explicit project was to celebrate gay sexuality and imagine a place for it in English culture. At the Tyneside Film festival in 1987 he met Kevin Collins who was then 21. Jarman pursued Collins by letter and within a few months Kevin Collins went to London and moved in with Derek Jarman. They both were committed campaigners with OutRage!. Kevin Collins nursed Derek Jarman for the final seven years of his life. Jarman died on February 19, 1994.

Elizabeth Carter was an English poet, classicist, writer and translator, and a member of the Bluestocking Circle. Catherine Talbot was an English author and member of the Blue Stockings Society. February 1741 saw the beginning of her lifelong friendship with Elizabeth Carter. The two ladies carried on a lively and copious correspondence. At her daughter's death in 1770, Mrs. Talbot put her daughter's manuscripts into Elizabeth Carter's hand, leaving their publication to her discretion.

Russell Cheney (1881 - 1945) had a twenty-year love affair with English Literature Professor F.O. Matthiessen (1902 - 1950), an authority on American Literature, who taught at Yale and Harvard and who was also a Yale graduate and became a member of Skull & Bones in 1923. Matthiessen was twenty years Russell's junior. Their letter are collected into Rat & the Devil: Journal Letters of F.O. Matthiessen and Russell Cheney. Cheney's nickname, Rat, and Matthiessen's, Devil, came into use at Yale.

Paul Schmidt was an American translator, poet, playwright, and essayist. He won the Helen Hayes Award, and Kesselring Award for best play for Black Sea Follies. He taught at the Yale School of Drama. He was married to Stockard Channing. At commemorative services held in 1999 friends and family gathered to celebrate Schmidt's particular grace, his passion for literature, languages, and life, and his genteel and noble spirit. Those qualities live on in his landmark translations.

Stephen Sapuppo was an actor who appeared on Another World as well as in the film Hanging Heart. Very active in drama at all schools, he was presented the Best Thespian Award from Governor Dummer Academy. The Stephen Sapuppo Prize, established in 1993 by Helen and Michele Sapuppo and family in loving memory of their son and brother Stephen, A'81, is awarded to a junior who has demonstrated outstanding academic achievement in drama, with preference for a member of Torn Ticket Two.

Sylvia Rae Rivera was an American transgender activist. Rivera was a founding member of both the Gay Liberation Front and the Gay Activists Alliance and helped found STAR, a group dedicated to helping homeless young street trans women, with her friend Marsha P. Johnson. "One of our main goals now is to destroy the Human Rights Campaign, because I'm tired of sitting on the back of the bumper. It's not even the back of the bus anymore — it's the back of the bumper. The bitch on wheels is back."
