Ben is still mourning on his former lover, a cheating man who has dumped him a year before just few days to Christmas.

Ben has a lot of friends and everyone around him want push him toward Jacob, one of their common friend, a kind and handsome man. But for some unknown reason, Ben has always avoid to be involved with Jacob (old motto, what you can have is not what you want).

But when he thinks that maybe Jacob can have found another love interest, Ben re-thinks to their friendship and now is not so sure to want that Jacob moves on with another man.

A short story, 20 pages, simple and almost "innocent". No sex, only two men that can have something really important between them if Ben is ready to risk.

The sex is nice, but not a necessary ingredient for me to enjoy a story. This one sounds charming. I can pretty much read Christmas/Seasonal stories year around. As a matter of fact, in July when it's 115-120 degrees fahrenheit outside is when I read the bulk of my Christmas stories.

A question. How do you go about finding all these little treasures. I've noticed all the different publishers when I read your reviews. I have a few publishers I stay on top of, but only 3 or 4.

I do check out fictionwise, but there is a lot that isn't listed there. So is there a site like fictionwise, or do you go straight to the publisher?

I go straight to the publisher. Mostly when I find a new author (through LJ or the various mailing lists I signed on) I give him a try. And then, if I like what I read, I write down the publisher (there is the list on my sidebar menu) and periodically I pay it a visit to see if there are new release.

Thanks very much for the lovely review - you summed up a very short little tale very sweetly.

I seem to have written a batch of Christmas stories this year! LOL I notice you have Dreamspinner Press in your list and I wrote one for them, too. It's a little longer, a little more intimate. ('Ghost of Christmas yet to Come', if it takes your fancy...^_~).

I like Christmas too, like your other commenter - it's the time of year I think we like to read and write about, romance epecially.

Looking forward to more reviews from you, it's great to share our opinion of fiction!

Thanks Clare. I will look to your Dreamspinner Title. I think you have also a story in their Mr Right Anthology, and when it will be out, I think I will buy it. Elisa

Wow, well spotted, because I think the Mr Right Now information hsn't been posted yet except on their newsletter (the book should be out any day now?). But yes, I'm in there, with a much more explicit tale than these more sweet Christmas ones *lol*. But it was fun to write...

I have a novel coming out with them soon too, though I know you said you prefer shorter works. My other book at Eternal 'Masquerade' is a collection of M/M erotica short stories, more in the fantasy paranormal world than the contemporary. Let me know if you think you might like to read it, I can send you some excerpts to whet your appetite LOL!!

Anyway, sorry to swamp you with my marketing blurb, it's just fun to share fiction with people! Have a great weekend - I hope to get some reading AND writing done myself. Speak to you again soon!
Clare :)

I'm good to find new books to read and Mr Right Anthology seems to be in my tune.

And no problem, you can use my LJ to promote your work everytime you want. I love to share opinion and news on the matter I like.
