I didn't want to announce this before to not influence the judges... Cate Culpepper sadly passed away few weeks ago, and she was not only a previous recipient of a Rainbow Award, she was most likely a winner of this year as well, as indeed happened. Like for dear friends Bobby Michaels and William Neale before, I would like to dedicate the Lesbian Paranormal Romance category to Cate Culpepper, from this moment on the Cate Culpepper Award for Best Lesbian Paranormal Romance.

I really loved this book! I had never read a book about a windigo before. I was fasinated by the detailed story and the writers' brilliant telling.

I'm a sucker for stories about Native American folklore, curses, and supernatural creatures, and this story grabbed me from page one. Well-drawn characters and a serpentine plot added to my enjoyment. A very entertaining read.
