This book made me laugh out loud more than once. Sky’s eight date challenge, put forth by her best friend Mitchell, was a study in futility. I felt bad for Sky, not because of the horrific dates she had to endure, but because she couldn’t seem to see what was right in front of her. The interactions between Sky and Maya were amazingly done. The only problem I had was the book seemed to end a couple of chapters too soon. I wanted a little more.

Best of the finalists. I was laughing out loud many times. The ending left me wanting more. The characters were vivid and memorable.

This was another new author for me—I really enjoyed the read... I like it when a book makes you feel for the character whether it’s to cheer her on or commiserate with her.

In my opinion the best read in this category of finalists. A good romance, more unpredictable that the start could lead one to think and a good pace. A strong writing style that makes me enjoy this book even more.

2. Out Of Retirement by Erica Lawson
3. That Certain Something by Clare Ashton
