Great debut novel. Easy read with complex MC's and secondary characters. A little heavy on the Melissa Etheridge references though.
Very nice style, the story had a natural flow to it. Characters were exceptionally well developed. Plot moved well without becoming predictable.
This was an excellent story. It's so much cheering for Carla as she moves into her new life, and it was nice the amicable split. Your heart breaks for poor Jamie with all she's struggling with but she handles it believably and without unnecessary drama that would drag the story down. All the characters and their motivations were believable, even the 'bad guys' of the books were very human rather than pure evil. I loved the friendships, the slow burn of Jamie and Carla getting back together. Every moment of this book was a joy.
