"This was an excellent collection of poetry. Each theme was explored through several kinds of styles and feelings. Emotions ranged from heartfelt to somber to angry, among others—and all of the poems thoughtful and invoked great imagery. The poems were witty and insightful. The collection was thoughtful and critical of the current dilemmas we face."
"Poetry is sometimes hard to judge—you either get it or you don’t. Some of these were very dark, but I can honestly say I liked them."

"I found this entire approach to be fascinating. I had a very clear picture early on of the author herself as well as other intertwined into her story, especially her mother and the fictional husband created by her mother. Although a tad confusing, I liked also the alternative ending she provided for the fictional marriage ... or at least I assume it's fictional, hence the commend about confusing. She's created a new twist on an ancient genre --epic poetry. Must admit I like her approach much better than the classic poetry I used to fall asleep reading."
