The Rebound (2024)

 Meen and Ping are usually good together, whatever and whoever they are playing. So I cannot say The Rebound is not good, but 12 episodes are really too long! Moreover Ryu and Zen, aka Meen and Ping, have good chemistry together, also on the sweet and sexy scene, but for almost 11.99 episodes there is almost no intimacy between them (aside a shower sexy scene, where we are told more than shown) and then for 1 minute we have an awkard sexy scene, they wanted to be funny, but sincerely, at that point I didn't need it. If they wanted to give us a fanservice/lip service, than make it sweet and romantic at least. Said that, Meen and Ping plays the usual role, where Meen is the aloof and cool characters with a dark secret, while Ping is the naive boy, believing that bad things do not exist in in this world. At least the third wheel in the series, Atom, who should be an antagonist of Meen in conquering Ping, is this time a positive character, without faults... only that he is not sexy like Meen to Ping's eyes. There is also to be said that Ping's interest in Meen apparently started in high school, therefore Atom is too late in the race. SPOILER: The dark secret is sort of unbelievable, the bad guy who is attempting to use Meen as a toy boy, and Meen's friend, Que, who play substitute for him, and then, basically is able to kill 6 armed men at the same time with just one pistol... not really believable, he would have been killed after the first shot.
