 Our Youth soon ranked to my top faves: it has everything I love in a drama, good actors, good settings, nice story, romance, passion... It was one of those dramas that I couldn't wait to see, and every week I was eagerly waiting for the next episode. The Japanese drama is adapted from a South Korean Manhwa (for who doesn't know they are the South Korean Manga). It's really the typical high school romance between the bad boy and the good one, so it shouldn't really rang different from many other similar dramas, but here the two actors are perfect, and they are able to convey all the angst of a teenager in love without making it stuffed or boring. I know, having read the manhwa, that there was an happy ending, but nevertheless I suffered with these two boys till the last episode, and yes, they even made me shed a tears or two. When at the end they promise each other to be married when the law will permit it, I wanted to say them, go abroad, marry in Hawaii, or find some escamotage... like they were a real couple I wanted to see happy. It was bittersweet to see that indeed they took the most realistic solution, to live they love in the closet, not even letting know their closest friends... the real and actual society is not allowing them to be something else right now. But oh boys, my heart was feeling for you soo much. Totally, definitely worth the watch. HEA. You can see it on GagaOOLala. Heat Level: 4/6.
