The idea is pretty simple, I was thinking to a serial post tentatively called "The Inside Reader", basically an author will list his/her top 10 list on LGBT Novels, without any limit, also classics are allowed.

Other than the list, it would be nice to have also a little introduction, something on the books he/she is listing, why they are special to him/her, or anything else you'd like to say.

Then I will complete the post with the author's bio and something about his/her last release (if available).

If you are interested please contact me, and we can plan something.

I love this idea. I'm not a writer, but I think it would be wonderful to see what my favorite authors like to read and why. I will probably need to hide the credit card while reading those lists!

That was exactly my thought. If I like an author I will probably like also what he/she reads ;-) Elisa

This sounds like a wonderful idea, and I'd like to participate...however I don't really read LGBT novels. So far I've only read two of them. My absolute favorite romance novels are ...I guess what you're referring to as classics, except that they're mostly het novels. I have read a couple that make allusions to homosexual love, and that always fascinated me, but until I published an LGBT novel I never read one, if that makes any sense. :)

Well Rowena, you can do a "mixed" list if you want ;-) I sent you an email. Elisa

Since my taste in LGBT novels always seems to be very different than that of the [mostly genre] readers online, I'd love a chance to promote some of my favourite gay literature. With the exception of Wicked Gentlemen (which is a genre piece), I think most of my stuff would be new to the LiveJournal crowd. Hopefully, they'll find it refreshing to read mini-reviews of books that fall outside the sci-fi/fantasy/mystery/romance/erotica categories. Not to mention, books without werewolves, shapeshifters, elves, ancients or vampires.

So yeah, if you're looking for "writers" to participate...I'm in.

I'd be honored to participate. I think most writers would agree that we're first and always readers, eh? I wonder how many books will appear on more than one list?

Cheers,
Lee B.
