Laurie McBain (b. October 15, 1950) was a best-selling U.S.American writer of seven historical romance novels from 1975 to 1985. Her novels Devil's Desire and Moonstruck Madness each sold over a million copies. Many believe that Laurie McBain was a gentleman. She wasn't a man, but perhaps she wrote with her father. When he died, she quit writing.
Laurie McBain wrote a few novels set in less popular times. “Moonstruck Madness” is early to mid-1700s, along with the two sequesl, Chance The Winds Of Fortune and Dark before the Rising Sun. She also wrote a civil war novel which was one of the best ever written, When The Splendor Falls. Hers are not your average romances, but contain so much more in detailed plot, setting, and character development.
